One of the questions we’re ofton asked is:

“Do all the children have to play the same game?”

The answer is simple… No!

At Gamevan, every gaming session is completely child-led. We believe the best parties are the ones where everyone gets to play the games they actually enjoy. There are no fixed schedules, no forced tournaments, and no pressure for everyone to do the same thing. Our host is always on hand to help, but the children are in control of the fun.

Over 100 Games on Every Console

Inside Gamevan you’ll find 5 PlayStation 5 consoles, 5 Xbox Series S consoles and a Nintendo Switch 2, with over 100 games installed on every console. On top of that, we also have Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus, giving us access to hundreds more games whenever they’re needed. That means if a child asks for something we don’t already have installed, there’s a great chance we can download it for them (internet connection permitting).

Play Together… Or Do Your Own Thing

Some parties naturally turn into one big competition.

You might have all ten players battling it out on Fortnite, racing each other on Mario Kart World, scoring screamers on EA Sports FC 26, or trying to survive together in Minecraft. Multiplayer games create an amazing atmosphere, with plenty of cheering, laughter and friendly competition. Other times, every child wants something different - and that’s absolutely fine too. One player might be flying around the world in Microsoft Flight Simulator, another could be building incredible worlds in Minecraft, someone else could be exploring Roblox, while another races through Sonic or enjoys an adventure in Astro Bot. Because every child has their own screen and console, everyone can enjoy exactly what they want without waiting for a turn.

Every Party Is Different

That’s one of the things that makes Gamevan so popular. Some groups spend the whole session playing together, while others split into smaller groups or enjoy single-player games. The children often change games throughout the party too, and that’s no problem at all. Switching between games is quick and easy because everything is installed digitally, meaning less waiting and more gaming.
